What is this "rock"

What do think this is? Was told to post it here by a friend. Found it in some river rock. The hole is perfectly round, but as you can see from the pics it seems like it couldn't have been drilled recently.

Wow not sure. I have net weights that have that little notch in the side to keep rope in place but none with a hole that big or that smooth. Hopefully an expert will chime in

Looks to be about the size of a cheerio from the picture. If anything artifact related, it would be a bead form, imho.

Its definitely a human made relic more important than net sinker. Took some time and effort to make, maybe to be worn.

It's a natural formation, we find them all of the time on certain waterways here.
