What is this semi-transparent rock I found in the Wyoming desert?

I found this odd looking rock with a white "crust" on top and it seems to have an interesting texture to it. Does anyone know what it might be? I found it in the Wyoming Red Desert area.

It might be desert Wyoming jade but that's just a guess, someone else more experienced on here will set me straight if I'm wrong. Nice find
