What is this small jar?

I found this small jar and was wondering what it was. Could anybody help me out and tell me how old this is and what is was used for? I haven’t been able to find anything online. The only markings on it are the numbers 3 and 6 on the bottom. Quarter for size reference

Looks like a small ink bottle to me.

That’s what I thought at first, but then I noticed it was screw top. I probably should’ve put that on the post

It still could be a later ink. Screw tops were used on them too by the 1920s.

Looks dang near to be ground lip. Which would be older. Although wide mouth openings came later in my experience. Just some thoughts. Jgas
