I found this in the woods yesterday and was wondering if anyone can tell me what it is. It looks like a bullet. Thank you.

i was going to say it could be shotgun slug but it seems kinda small for that unless it is from a 20 gauge or even a 410. Just a guess

Round lead ball. The base has the weave of the patch showing.

Here's one I recovered from a deer (that I had fired; I should add).



Yours looks to be about .54 caliber - pretty common.
