The coin looks like a shield nickel, from the 1800s. The other is just a button from suspenders. Can you post a photo of the other side?

The coin is a UK penny lol just there for size lol xxx

4 hole buttons are generally for underwear or shirts, not sure why the word suspender is used. Circa 1900 won't be too far off.
