A Devonian period horn coral and a very nice one!

Welcome to T-net.

it may look like a tooth/claw... but it's a fossilised horn coral. They're quite common in many areas with marine deposits.

Addition: my post crossed with @smokeythecat's... but these corals are not confined to the Devonian. They range from the Ordovician to the Permian.
