Looks like a hunk of lead.Available at hardware stores and plumbing supply houses,Commonly referred to as plumbers lead.

If the letters are Missouri,know that at one time Missouri was a top lead producing State,loaded with Galena,the ore of lead.The last lead smelter in the U.S. in Missouri was closed a few years ago due to EPA regulations.Bummer.
