This is sniperdude's penny. I can't find anything like it on ebay or anywhere else. It's the same size as a normal penny. The lincoln protrudes slightly past the edge. There just is no rim and as you can see, the entire outside on both sides is just gone, including half of the letters. Any ideas?

Looks like either deliberate damage or a broadstrike error :)

It's definately not done after it was struck. I've seen a lot of pictures on ebay of broadstruck coins, and none of them are even similar. I saw a picture of one mercury dime that looks similar to this wheat on a website that said it was broadstruck...but I can't find anything else.

Can someone please tell me what kind of error this is, if it is one, and an example to go along with it, if you can find one? Thanks :)

Your right, can't be damage beccause if it was lincolns face is higher than the rim and would be flattened too. The only error I can think of that looks similar is a broadstrike, Ill have to look in my error book after i get home from school today.

I pull coins out of my washing machine all the time that look just like that! :D
