I moved ya from TODAY'S FINDS! over to ROCKS/GEMS for more exposure.

They appear to be water worn bits of quartz, chalcedony mainly with the larger one transitioning into what I'll call sugar quartz~ basically compacted grains of very small quartz crystals. The dark matter looks like some organic, a bleach bath might clear it out.
