What kind of tooth is this? Is it old or new?

Found this tooth along the Delaware River today... Not sure what it is... any ideas? I looked at deer, horse, pig, cow, dog, etc. online and I can't really find a match. I am leaning towards deer, though I really don't know. Is it old or is it new? Any info is appreciate. Thanks!

Found near the Delaware River? If it is made of ivory, it may have belonged to the gentleman pictured to the left of the tooth.

Going with deer... though it doesn't answer if it's old or new. Could just as well be something recent.

looks like deer to me, but my deer skulls are all up on the wall so I can't easily get to them and compare. Probably not too old.
