What kinda point is this?

Found this last week in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. Most of the ones I find around here are white quartz or brown in color. This one is light grey and is fluted. Thanks, Tony

Looks like a Van Lott, Early Archaic 9000-8000 BP. Nice find and old!

Thanks for all the help. I didn't mention that it's 1" long. I found a chart with a Palmer that is real close. I could not find a good picture of a Vann Lott to compare it. There was a Clovis dug from a fram pond less that a mile from where I found this point. I was at a local Tractor show when I spotted this one. I covered it up and let my grandson have the honnor of being the first one to touch it the next day. Tony
