What makes people so willing to give up their rights? I contend it is a mixture of low self confidence in their own ability to go through life. So they look at it and think if I give up some liberties the by nature I am more dependent on govt. So govt. Will have to take care of me. Some feel guilty of what we have and are so messed up in the head they think we as a nation should be taken down a few notches. And some are willing to give in cause the main stream media simply tells them to. You could herd these people to anything because they do not have any free thought left anymore.
