No telling what could have caused it.

My guess, someone with a punch and a hammer.

Fire. Air in between expanded.

Definitely fire or heat damage.

Looks like fire damage. For some reason I save the halves with fire damage, I think they are cool. I'll have to post them on here some time down the road.

I cant tell by the pic but if its pretty round then probably a BB gun. I used to shoot quarters when i was younger for fun and they make similar marks.

A bb would not explain that it has a bump on both sides. Fire seams to be the consensus with an air bubble in the coin that expanded. That would mean that there is a hollow spot in the coin. Is that possable?

Yes just look at the edge. The metals are sandwiched together.

Woah Nellie....

Is that 3 boxes? Like $1500 dollars worth of halves?

And nothing?

I found a 40% in my first ever roll of halves, and not a damn thing since. I don't know if I've done quite $1500 yet, but it must be getting close.

Haha, that's nothing... My daughter and I did $5,000.00 over a week and we skunked the whole darn thing. It was a blast though!
