It's been tough diggin' here in Maine so far this spring. The ground is either still frozen or really mucky. The first thing I did was break my T-handle spade prying up the frost.
Then I got kicked out of what I thought was a public park but turns out to be privately owned (The sign said "Grounds open to the public"). So I drove over to Bangor to see what I could find in an old park that has produced for me in the past. There was a bit of dry ground there and I got a deep, "iffy" signal on the CTX 3030. Down about 12" I found a lead hem weight and a WWI era French pendant. "Protegez Nos Chers Soldats" translates to Protect Our Dear Soldiers.

There wasn't a whole lot of diggable real estate available so I decided to investigate every signal and it paid off! Found a 1920 Merc stuck to a toasted V nickel.

Next was a 1903 Barber dime next to a nail.
Finally, another Barber in the hole with a "hot rock".

So all in all, it was a pretty good day. Thanks for looking and HH!
