Thanks Tic!! I started to look through some images, seeing some close matches. Now, I’d just love to know what the heck it was doing in that old lot in which In which I dug it lol!! Guess that’s part of the mystery. Thanks for taking time out for me.

I think it is a sculpting tool for clay or wax. I don't see how it would be used as a dental tool.

I think you are close. It looks like an old opium scraper for cleaning the bowl..

Here's a fancy one.

Of course most opium addicts couldn't afford a silver scraper, the one you show is much more common.

Could also be an apothecary spoon out of a doctor's kit for measuring small amounts of medications.
