That's pretty wild. It almost looks like a silica in the middle; kinda olive colored. The black is strange. Other angles maybe?

Did that come out of your pegmatite? It's got a lot going on with it

No it didnt come from the peg. I think it was part of some skarn about 25 miles away.

Looks like a good candidate for olivine. I've found similar specimens in pegmatite over the years.

Looks like a quartzite with the green being serpentine. California?
