What to do with this Gold and Emerald Monstrosity of a Ring?

[FC-Treasure]

I've had this chunky ring for quite a while, sitting in a drawer. It weights in a 17 grams, the emerald and diamond are real and it is 14K gold. It probably dates from the 1960's. I think the box says "Corrigans Jewelers Since 1914". Probably a Dallas Texas based jeweler.

What do you all think? Does it have value other than scrap?

Interesting, Corrigan's was/is the upscale version of Zales. They were acquired by Zales in the 1940's but retained their name until 1999, when they were re-named to "Bailey, Banks, and Biddle Fine Jewelers".
