What type of tool is this? Error?

Found this along with other various flint items on an indian settlement. Looks more like an actual tool than chip IMO.. Less than an inch long, what was it used for? Was it an arrow head someone messed up on? Or just a flint chip.

Spald flake. Sometimes these were used as a quick way to cut something.

Meaning a flake off of a core hit with a hammerstone.
