I found this little bottle at an older home site and was wondering what it was used for. It is only 1.48 inches tall and has a .65 inch diameter. It looks like it is a cork stopper bottle and I cannot find ANY markings or seams on in anywhere. There is something black that is dried in it. Any help is appreciated.

Medicine bottle. Looks like an early 1900's Pinkham pill bottle. Tony

Yep its definitely a round prescription ware bottle.
My glass manufacturers book calls it an extract lip, or packer lip.
If the seam fades out before the lip, it would be pre 1904.
