I have found this shape and color of broken bottle bottom three times....anyone know what it was?

It was an octagonal bottle with fluted panels. This design was used with many different bottles for s variety of purposes - food (spices), drink, cosmetics. Here are images of a spice bottle and of a couple of early drink bottles.
