This is my best find for 2007! I found in a field that we had hit many times before, but this beauty was missed. It was only 2.5" deep and gave off a solid "P" on "Penny" hit. :)

Why it is my favorite? Do I need to explain? :P ;) :D

depends on how you define "best". my oldest was this 1733 KING GEORGE II, but i think the best was this 1919 STANDING LIBERTY QUARTER in really nice shape!

My favorite find is the 1734 King George II copper because it's in really great condition but the most valuable find for the year (my first year detecting I might add!) is the big hunk of gold that I found while hunting in the water with my father.

Many good finds this past year. 12 large cents, only 3 with dates, 1800, 1836, 1854. One large cent with a cross etched on it. One 1723 Hibernia woods penny. My favorite find was a 1877cc seated quarter in fine to very fine shape. Sorry no pics.

I found a 1879 $5.00 Gold Piece in May.

Your button is a George Washington inaugural button. Hopefully, it has a full shank on the back.

By far, my best find for 2007 was this little 1853 half dime. It's bent a little, but it came out of the clod that way, I didn't do it. What made it great, besides its' age, was the fact that it came from a public park that has been hit numerous times. Just goes to show you, it's never picked clean! :D

This is my best coin from 2007 it's a Richard 11 groat. Found it on a rock hard pasture field in the summer. The grass was really too long to be detecting on on . When I was digging the signal my brother came over to me and said we were wasting our time. I sold the coin for £800 about $1600.

And it would seem that I skunked myself since then. Can't believe I broke into the 1800's (barley) on my first day!!!

My best find by far was an 1877 Seated Liberty Half Dollar - followed by an 1829 Capped Bust Dime, and 1877 Seated Quarter and a 1737 King George II copper.
