I didn't have anything 'outstanding' this year, but I did get a few nice finds. My best would probably be this 1876 seated quarter that you can still read the liberty on shield (bad picture).

I would say this SLQ. The first one I found weeks prior meant more to me, but this one is simply in much better shape.

Super big (long) and heavy ca. 1890's Rose gold chain (75% gold 25% copper). It was my first dig of 2007 at a site I've hunted many times over 13 years.

It was about 8 inches deep in a ball. It gave a nice loud signal on my Nautilus IIb.

It was a great find but didn't make much of an impression here. Chains aren't real big here (or anywhere for that matter).

But I'll take gold anyway it comes. 8)

I'd have to agree on this one also. I met two very good people here on this forum.

For me, it's a toss up between the 1857 half dime and the 1865 British penny. By mid fall last year, the drought here in the southeast left so much new shoreline to search. The half dime was in the wet sand of a small stream in Tryon, NC and the penny came from a lake shore in Lincolnton, GA. Personal comment....this has got to be, hands down, the best treasure forum out there. I don't think I could ever read it all. The new stuff would keep showing up faster than I could get through the old stuff. The information in here is a treasure find in itself. Hope I can add some usefull information as time goes by.

Thanks.....

Tom
