Detector(s) used
White's 6000 Di/Pro, E-Trac
Mine was an 1847 seated liberty half... it was also the very first coin of any type (including clad) I found.

Talk about nowhere to go but down... ::)

Nearly all my first dimes, quarters, and half's were silver as I started in 1967.

Well let me see.........over 2000 coins found and it's hard to remember...I'm thinking......NEVER :'( :'( :'(

a 46 roosevelt dime.

1914 dime. I hadn't previously been aware of how clean silver stays, so I was kinda' surprised at the time.

1890 Seated dime

1796 Spanish One Reale

1956 quarter -- clean shape

A '48 Roosevelt dime. Found 2 in my first month of detecting last March and I've only found one more (a quarter) since.

A 1906 Barber dime, at Deering Oaks park in Portland, ME. in the summer of '75 . I found it with my first machine, a Heathkit with the old cardboard - covered battery. A great detector unless it was too hot or cold, raining, or the ground was wet! LOL but not kidding!
It seems like a couple of lifetimes ago now. Been through a lot of machines in that time.

...............HH

2 in 1 hole. A 46 and 64 Rosie. The first and last year of that dime in silver.

My first silver was a 1944P nickel. Hope to find many silver coins this year..... as soon as the ground unfreezes :P
