what was your very first detected silver coin?

mine was a washington quarter, 1943 i think. i was amazed at how shiny it was when it came out of the ground. i was with my dad near a bar he used to go to. never forget it. the spot we detected seemed really tiny.

Mine was an 1847 seated liberty half... it was also the very first coin of any type (including clad) I found.

Talk about nowhere to go but down...

A '48 Roosevelt dime. Found 2 in my first month of detecting last March and I've only found one more (a quarter) since.

A 1906 Barber dime, at Deering Oaks park in Portland, ME. in the summer of '75 . I found it with my first machine, a Heathkit with the old cardboard - covered battery. A great detector unless it was too hot or cold, raining, or the ground was wet! LOL but not kidding!
It seems like a couple of lifetimes ago now. Been through a lot of machines in that time.
