These aren't the greatest photos as we just did a quick phone pic.
Our rooster has been segregated for 3 months from the hens.
Today we let him have his gals back.
Their meet up, and he just stood there while they groomed him.
He's so kind, 12 lbs, and certainly the ruler of the flock.
The way they gathered around him, yes love has everything to do with it.

I'm jealous!
When I first let him out there was one hen in the barn, he lowered a wing around her-she took off squawking out into yard. I really thought that this reuniting thing was going to turn out not so good.
When we led him over to the large enclosure it was so funny the hens were dropping to the ground, then they started to gather around him.
Their master had returned. :laughing7:
 

Yes they are, always a joy watching and listening to them talk to each other.
Love watching them laid out sun bathing. Always makes me jump and double take thinking I got a dead bird 🫣

They certainly do love the dirt baths.
