OK I'm lurkin threw ebay at detectors an run across the Umax had to do a double take it sure looks allot like my Eldorado , I mean its a perfect twin.






can somebody that uses a` UMax tell me how they like it ,I know my Eldorado is an older machine an if the Umax is damn nere the`same machine only newer it might be worthwhile to grab one .I love my Eldorado so if this UMax is just a better upgraded version I may have found my next detector .

That's the golden umax, it has tones, notch disc no gb most folks use as a coin shooter, not as deep as your eldorado especially with a 10x12.

They are laid out the same, but the knobs and switches have different functions. It has a fixed ground balance.The knob on the left is for setting notch width (not GB), and the center switch is for setting it narrow or wide, not frequency shift. Kind of like fine tuning the discrimination.

The manual explains their usage better than I can. I haven't had a chance to really get to know mine yet.
