What's the difference?

OK I'm trying to determine what I'm doing so bear with me. One map dowses, programs the pendulum and such by speaking to it or one's self, whatever. One then goes out and rod dowses the area given by the answers given by the pendulum. Does one ask the rods or program them in the same way as one did the pendulum? Why or why not?

A ten or eleven year old kid didn't ask anything to find a fifty cent silver with two wires sticking out of two beer bottles or nearly thirty years later to find coins or silver ware. What's going on here and how was I able to find these things and find the more I think I learn the less I can find?

Art had me do something this evening I thought interesting. Placed a coin on X lines N, S, E, W. Go over it with my rods thinking about something else other than the coin. Honestly thought about sex which is my greatest distraction and walked across the coin and the rods crossed. I can assure my mind was not on the coin or my rods ;D

So how to differ from mental (map) and physical (rods)? Hmmm. I need patience.

Good friend of mine sent this email. I hope she doesn't mind...

Oh boy this came to be longer then I had intended to, sorry!!! And when you dig that spot, just tell anyone curious about as to why " City work "

Okay, now I am sitting here (just woke from a nap) hands together, in front of my face. Trying to figure how to explain, as to not confuse you or better said, not to confuse your ' gift ' and knowledge you already have.

" Luke, use the Force " think about that, what does Obi-Wan refer to?

The Almighty. And Guardian Angels you believe in correct? They are spirits and involved in all that you do. Good spirits. If there is good spirits then there is must also bad spirits.

In a sense, Star Wars was based on believe/belief. Could likely write a book here about that. Trying to make it short. Dug this up as to not misquote

" Han Solo: It is for *me*, sister. Look, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I'm not in it for you, princess. I expect to be well paid. I'm in it for the money.
Princess Leia: You needn't worry about your reward. If money is all that you love then *that's* what you'll receive. "

Charlie, you must not give up your believe, ever!!!!

Pendulum is used on a map, because it is smaller and more accurate on a small scale.
It's your instrument, you program IT. Don't let it program YOU! Let it lead you, just like you did with the rods this morning. Your mind was clear, in believe mode, no clutter, no influence from the " Dark Force " (since Star Wars seems to hit home with you).

You ask the pendulum to give you a yes or no answer in the way you choose.
For example: Clockwise = Yes, the stronger and faster it goes in that direction the better. Not clockwise = no.
Get the feel of the pendulum by, as Art has you do, practice. Don't ' Will ' it to do what you want it to do because you want that treasure or whatever to be there, as it may not and you have influenced it.

You need to be relaxed, in a comfortable position without the arm or hand cramping up on you.

Ask a question you know to be true, see what happens, Do the same with something which is not true. In within a full swing, when you get the answer, make your pendulum come to a full stop. It will happen, slowly at first, as you get better, faster. Trust the pendulum, like you trusted the rod this morning.

You do have the Gift!! You know Gut- Instinct, believe it.

Oh I sure hope this did not complicate things for you!! If all else fails, just believe what you have believed thus far, don't stray.

" You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine. "

Who do you know, was struck down and became more powerful then anyone could have imagined?

Pendulum = small scale ( mentally without actually being on site). You can't walk on a map.

Rod = full scale (Physical) Both are one and the same. That is it, that's all there is to it.

You are one with the instrument you are using, what you believe. It too must believe.

As you ask Jesus for advice, you trust He will not betray you. Do same with the instruments you are using.
After you have received, you thank Him in prayer, correct? Do the same and no dark can or will ever over take you.

The *Force* will be with you, always. "

What say you to my friend's email?

Re: What's the difference?

Hey ArkieGold….Sorry if I am confusing anyone. I learned to Dowse using my methods. On another forum I was ask to write about Physical Dowsing. I was writing today and had an interesting thought. The first time I tied to locate a signal at the cardinal direction did I program my sub conscious mind to respond only to those signals? That’s what happened and I don’t care how it happens.

I can mental dowse to find caves and some things where I can not bait a rod. I have always looked at mental and physical dowsing as separate ways to do the same thing. I prefer my methods as they are simple and require no thinking.

I know that newbie’s should use one method until they understand it. I know you have been having a lot of trouble so I tried to help. I have taught a couple of hundred high school students to Dowse. About 90 % of them had no problem finding sewer and water lines at their schools. Could it be that kids do not think to much as long as they are having fun?

I would not Map Dowse for years because I did not want to screw up my Dowsing. Now I won’t leave the house with out a Dowsed map in my hand…Art

Re: What's the difference?

Art, you my friend are far from confusing me. Fact is your's are about the only instructions or advice I can understand so I am concentrating on your alone from here on. You are also the only one to take my map and give your thoughts, indications and help so I am in your debt with thanks for now and hopefully material soon!

Re: What's the difference?

Nobody is influencing me toward Art or away from yours or anyone else's information or knowkedge Mike. I'm just a simple man and like things simple. Patience is my weakness. I suppose if I thought I had time to look up and study every word or phrase I don't understand then I would probably learn a lot. In my short time here, I can tell yours is a way that would require a lot of study to learn and accepting things that grain against much that is programmed into my skull from years of just how my life has been. Art's ways on the other hand are I think leaning more toward what I have already done and can do and I'm needing to hone those skills and understand better to accomplish a 20+ year search. Circumstances dictate I complete this search soon or it too will cease to be obtainable similar to events of a few years ago and that took me a few years to get over and I'm not completely over it yet! There's nothing worse in knowing there's a hill full of stuff practically at your back door but you can't do a thing about it but I have had to accept that for now and go for something of lesser value. Valuable though and it will go a long ways into freeing me up to do the things I always wanted. Those things would shock a few probably or call me crazy. I can't stand to see people in need and not have the means to help.

Re: What's the difference?

Hey ArkieGold..As Dell pointed out, Physical Dowsing does have some limits. I always use baited rods so I don’t pick up unwanted signals. That seems to be the biggest limit that I have. You can’t bait a rod with a cave, dinosaur bones or stuff you don’t have.
On the plus side you need no mental training to be successfully. Just pick up the rods and go. A lot of my methods came from manuals written by Bob Yokum and Bob Fitizgerald. The rest I learned with practice.
I can do both types of Dowsing but only do mental dowsing when it is needed and then only with my permission. I look at my methods as Mechanical instead of physical……Art

Re: What's the difference?

Arkie, my dowsing is little different than Art's. He tries to claim what he is doing is not the box-in method. I beg to disagree.

Hey Mike…You can call it any thing you want. If finding a signal line at one of the cardinal directions then turning 90 degrees and following it to the target is the box in method so be it.
When I use one rod the box in method is the only way I can find the target.

The other dowsing technique is called the sweep. You stand still and slowly swing the rod back and forth pointing at the suspected search area. When the rod hesitates, bumps, or stops (called a lock-on) you mark that line and then move over a ways and repeat. Where the two lines cross is the area to close in on. There is nothing difficult to understand about either of these unless you are somehow mentally challenged.

That is called Triangulation.

There is another method where you position some type of witness and/or amplifier on the ground and walk in a circle around it until the rod(s) respond when you cross the line between the witness/amplifier and the target. This is the line to the target called a signal line.
And this is called a man made signal line. The natural signal lines and the man made signal lines are completely different. Many people fail because they do not know this. The man made signal goes from the amplifier to the target. The natural singles come from the target….Art

Re: What's the difference?

It's ALL about intent.

But what it truly boils down to is this...ya know when ya see a live performance that just feels so good, or moves ya? And ya hear that performer say, " wow, it was just MY day"...well, even dowser have those days, or not.

But, no matter what, it's all about feelin or being in THAT moment.

(By the way...I dowse w/ my hands.)

Re: What's the difference?

A little experiment for you to try. Walk until the rods cross. Adjust your feet until your rods are perfectly crossed. Now back away from the signal line slowly. When one rod swings outward move a little more and the other rod will follow the first one. Now you have both rods pointing to the target. Walk slowly in an ever closing circle until you reach the target. This works but takes more time…Art
