Whats the oldest thing you have ever found.

As its to hot here to get out and do some detecting, I thought id post something.

Out of curiosity what is everyones oldest finds while mding, fossicking, antique buying ect.

I would have to say mine is an Aborigine stone axe that i found in the bush while camping some years back.

Although I haven't had any carbon dated, it's about 2000 - 10,000 years BP Archaic copper from old copper culture!

my oldest find with a detector is a 1806 penny & my oldest found silver is a 1818 spoon i"v bought older stuff but these are my favourite.
