Whats up with 1987 half dollars?

What's up with 1987 half dollars?

I have been through probably $1200 in rolled half dollars and I have not seen a 1987 yet. Why is that? Is that another year they didn't make?

Less than 3 million made wiith P & D mint marks. Not released to the public. So whats out there are from broken up mint sets etc. I have only found one P and one D so far and the D was in bad shape. The "S" proofs were about 4 million and I haven't found one of those yet.
