What's your largest pocket dump?
Found my largest coin pocket dump in 37 years of hunting. In one hole (they were actually sitting on top of the soil in tall grass) I found 4 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 nickels and 8 pennies. $1.48 (all clad). The park I was hunting has lots of rolling mounds and lots of big shade trees so there's always people laying out enjoying the sun or the shade, depending on the season. I have found numerous spills there but this one just wouldn't quit. By the way, it was a lunch time hunt and just brought along my Discovery 2000. I was using auto-notch with tone ID and got nickel, zinc and silver signals that were tight and repeating (after slowing down) the first signal was jumping all over. This is a good lesson to slow down on a bouncing signal and check it out. I know a lot of times when I get this type of response and don't slow down, it just sounds like trash. Anyway, came back to work after a 1 hour hunt with $2.55 in clad. Not a bad lunch break.
