Hey gang, Here is a weird formation I found last weekend on a look-see mission.
The tide was way down, so I took the old kayak and went way up the bayou into the forrested channels to see what the bank looked like way below the normal water line. At the confluence of another small bayou I saw groupings of these things way down the bank close to the channel. They are so weird! Like wormy turds. I think they are crystalized roots from ancient trees. What do ya'll think? Thanks, Lone Star

I am no fossil expert but am guessing if you posted them in the fossil section they could give you the name and exact time period. Interesting finds.

Those look like trace fossils of some sort of worm burrows.
