I have 2 things here I'm wondering about. Mostly interest in the buckle/suspender piece. Anybody know what style it is and from what time period? Thank you. Chapstick is there for scale.

The object on the upper right is half of a web cartridge belt, WWII to Korean War & Surplus thereafter.

Close and similar but I don’t quite think that’s it. The earliest item I can think of with these were WWI gasmask bags and similar pouches. But they can be found on much later (up through the 60’s?) civilian camping equipment.
