On Saturday, it was 18. Today, it was 17 ('26, '30d, '40, '41, '41d, '44, '44s, '45, '48d, '51d, '52d, '54d(x2), '55d(x2), '58d(x2)). That's a whopping 35 wheaties in only two outings!!
Methinks there was some cherry pickin' for silver goin' on in certain sections of this spot back in the '70s and '80s. No other way to explain the surplus of wheaties and lack of silver.
Sadly, no silver today
Also dug a Mexico 5 Centavos coin (1964), and a Goetz phone token (anyone know how old it might be?).
Clad totaled $5.24 today (15 quarters, 9 dimes, 5 nickels (one of 'em was a '59d), and 34 cents (28 copper and 6 zinc)).
Year to date clad total is now up to a whopping $159.29 (as of today).
Pics below. Enjoy!!
ps- too bad I couldn't get as many silvers as wheats....can you imagine digging 35 silver coins in 2 days
That'll make ANYONE drool...
