This is my observation so far in buying "unsearched " wheat um...... there is no such thing. A coin shop especially is not going to sale such an item to big of a risk.

@ 12 cents each I think you would be paying close to the highest price I have ever seen per wheat cent.
10 cents each is about the highest that people normally charge. I ONLY buy when I can get them @ $1.75 per roll myself!

Most antique shops and coin shops will have rolls between $2 and $2.50 a roll. I wish the coin shop near me would put some wheat rolls back out in the case. Every roll had at least one Indian Head in it.

Wow.^^^My coin shop guarantees "old" wheats in every roll they sell.Which usually means there are 25 1958-d,20 1944,4 1943,and about 1 1937.lol

Even though you were trying to be nice, you shouldn't give her extra money. She now probably knows that she sold you some rare coin in that lot and may feel bad about it.

I was just going through those Indian Head pennies from the "wheat" rolls I bought at the coin shop, I haven't had time to sort them, and found the oldest Indian Head to be from 1876! Even in good condition it's worth $28. Now I really want the coin shop guy to put some more rolls out.
