I know, I know!! When you are digging it for someone else!!
Got out with my friend Kevin again today. He still can't bend over and dig so I still fill in. Found a few interesting places to go to and had a bit of fun. Got permission to hit an old apple orchard and we were not disappointed. My first target was a wheat. He got on the board with a very ornate old silver ring. I got a few more wheat's and then a beautiful silver sound. Got the 1951 quarter. Although I didn't know it was a Washington until getting back to my truck because I didn't want to wipe the dirt off it.
While Kevin was detecting I heard a beautiful silver sound out of his machine. I turned off mine and went over to dig his target. Well when I first saw it I thought it was a large token. Then I turn it over and see the eagle. I just handed it to him and called him a turkey. 1894 Barber half. I also dug 7 wheat cents for him oldest was 1914 and a 1904 indian penny. My oldest wheat's were a 1910 and a 1920.
Not much trash at all. Turned out to be a very good day. Going back Sunday to see why we didn't find any silver dimes. Hopefully some more indians are hiding in there also.
