What battery level do you change your batteries? I know temp. makes a difference, so let's say it's in the 70's. When do you believe the effectiveness of your MD is effected, do to battery level? I use either Duracell, or Eveready.

In my case the battery level shows 8 bars when new....when it drops to 2 bars I switch to a new set.

I run my Etrac down to one bar, on the re-chargable, or Duracell. Last week I ran the Duracells, until I got warning sounds, and was still hitting coins

My AT Pro will start beeping at me when the batteries are ready to change. That happens when there is 1 bar left on the display. I have never felt that the detector was less effective in detecting when the batteries were low until this beeping starts, then it's just plain annoying.

Thanks. ATP here too, and I didn't know it would beep when low.
