Yesterday I posted about the $4 at the local Stop and Shop. Today I went back, because I suspect it's not working quite right. It's rejecting a lot of perfectly good coins.
So today I went and checked it again. I found $1.15 in the reject slot, all dimes and quarters. The 4 pennies were found other places. Best of all, there was a '64D quarter and a '51 dime in the group! One of the pennies is a 1959, the oldest of the memorial cents. The dime shows some wear, but the quarter and penny are in pretty nice shape for coins from circulation. I suspect they spent some time in a collection, or else in someone's jewelry drawer.
Thanks for looking, and HH!
