where can I buy a cheap at pro?

Cabelas had them for $499 in store. might check there.

Hi; Why not consider a good used White's DFX. It will be the only detector he will ever need. It is a true turn on and goo detector with several Pro Programs built in and you can even create your own Pro Programs as well. I find dimes at 10" - 12" all the time. You can find a jar of coins at 2' no prob. You can even use it at the beach and go from dry sand to wet sand with zero problems. You can not do that with the At Pro. You can also buy a good used DFX for $400. Any problems with it you just send it to the factory and they will fix it for FREE ok. You can't beat that. You also can't do that with the AT Pro ok. Your decision. Good Luck. PEACE:RONB

thanks that a good price .I paid 505 for the one I had. the reason im gonna get him a pro is I want have to learn another machine I know the pro had one before I got my deus and the pro is solid it does stink on the beach imo but we are relic hunters. he has outgrew his ace 250 and I want him to be interested in the hobby so he needs a machine that will get it done.

I got mine used on craigslist for $300 and it has served me well for three years so far. It is my backup/loaner machine but I do like it with the 5x8 coil for some coinshooting uses. I use a site called AdHuntr where you can search all of craigslist. This enables you to search outside your area for anything you are looking for. Just enter what you are looking for and the site shows all that are for sale in the whole country on craigslist. Got my Excal from there too.

thanks
