The last month has been sort of hectic. . . I took a road-trip to Kansas
for the Chisholm Trail Hunt the beginning of May, when I got back, my son
and his significant other moved out of our house into a condo in Schaumburg,
and 1-1/2-weeks ago, my youngest daughter got married out in Colorado :P.
So. . . my hunting time this summer has been catch-as-catch-can.
I guess it's time to catch up. . .
Right before I left for Kansas, I was hitting spots close to home. . . like
properties in our neighborhood and a few of the local parks. . . circa 1950's.
I really can't complain because I found a 19-cent pocket spill from the
1960's that included a '41 Merc (what a nice surprise!) and a day-or-two
later, snagged a couple of Rosies and a silver George along the parkway.

The Chisholm Trail Hunt was a wonderful experience. . . lots of really great
people attending and some wonderful places to hunt.

I got lucky out there and found a few goodies. . . my second Walker, a 5-cent
trade token, and a brass. . . (I have no clue but it looks cool).
After I got back from Kansas, we all headed out to Colorado for my daughter's
wedding and had a GREAT time! It was nice to catch up with other family members
that you can't visit with on a regular basis.
After getting back from Colorado, I had a chance to hunt with Olderactor on
Sunday and with Lowbatts, DIrt fishing wolf, Clad the Impaler and Litefire56
on Memorial day. It was a "dog-day-afternoon" both days because I scored
a dog tax tag each day plus, an 1878 IH.

Tuesday morning I got out with Kimsdad for a quick hunt local park hunt. . . no
silver but, a 50's-era Scout neck-slide. Today I hit a local house down the street for
about 40-minutes and recovered a WWI-era cap badge. . . and I'm happy with that
So. . . that's it in a nut-shell
Thanks for looking!
