I was near Front Royal, Virginia at the Low Water Bridge. This is used alot in the summer for swimming, playing, fishing, etc. The bridge crosses over the Shenandoah River at this point. I really like it here. It's a good place to dig as the summer progresses.

Looks like an inviting place...that's good name for the bridge...does it ever flood?..

Yes, it floods sometimes. The Shenandoah River isn't big my any means. There are several of these type of bridges in my area.

Those pictures make me want to go fishing! That's a very pretty place. I've never seen bridges so low in the water like that!
Thanks for sharing a part of your world.

We used to put canoe's in at that spot and take a day trip down river. Allot of nice scenery along that river.

A very pretty place, I bet you find some nice treasures there too. I never seen a bridge that low either...it's neat.

That IS a nice low bridge, Dig.
I'll bet it's popular in the summer.

We had one hereabouts, not that long, though.
It was known as the sunken bridge, or the underwater bridge.

It cost millions to replace it, but they went and did it!

Thanks for sharing, I got to explore some of Virginia, when I was stationed at Ft. Myer, went to 'Skyline drive, Luray caverns, Great falls, Mt. Vernon, several battlefields', but would like to spend more time there.

Fossis.............

It's called a Low Water Bridge because you can only cross it during low water. I just learned this recently.

Cmon over, fossis. Lots to explore here.

Nice scenery! i thought I'd seen (last photo) a land point where people fish, good place for them too lose things. Who knows how many decades it has been in use...

i remember when i was young i used to ride my inner tube down the river to that spot. my old man would let us off in a truck a few miles up the river.
once when the water was running hard my cousin almost got sucked under!
