gosh...I wish I was there too! lol Sure glad one of us is there able to enjoy it! thanks for taking us along!

I've always wondered, What's it like to live in a place like that? Do you work? How do you make it to work with such a beautiful place and so many things to do? Anyway I wish I were there too. :)

all you need now is a couple girls from the island and hut on the beach.awesome beach.

Something has to be there to find. Thanks for sharing....Steve

I spent four years on Okinawa...and am sure I've been there...life WAS good!@!

Actually a few weeks ago I found this:
Japanese Float.webp

Not sure the value yet, but a very cool find.
So far, MD'ing this beach has all turned up trash, I am hittin the tourist beaches for the good stuff.
This particular beach is a pain to get to, far away from the bases, or any villages for that matter. It is about a 250kilometer drive round trip from my house, which is alot of back roads, considering the island itself is only 108k long!!
Some of the roads here twist and turn so much, and there is not a quick and easy way to get to a couple of the beaches we like to comb.
Winter has started up here, which means it is a very chilly 60degrees. ;D So lots of hunting through the winter!

Thanks for looking

I was born in Okinawa....... bout time I went home. ;)

Nice view

Whenever I went to Japan back in my Jarhead days, it was always to MCAS Iwakuni up on the mainland. All I ever got to see of Oki was Kadena while passing through for a fuel stop going to or from the Philippines. When I got back Stateside, my helo squadron always went on Westpac cruises. I never got picked to deploy to Futema. The Philippines was pretty fun though for a young 19-yr old Lance Corporal........and that's all I got to say about that.
