Where to find maps and old newspapers at the library?

Ya i`d ask them again ,the stuff you want should be in the reference area .
Historical paces like small or county museums might have maps too .

Usually reference area like G.A.P. said. Newspapers might be on microfiche or converted to another form to be able to be viewed on a computer.

Have you tried historic areals on the net there are many sites you can get a current map then a really old one you place over it to see where old places are now and even use gos on your phone to get right to the spot someones helping me learn this I dont know if Ill ever learn how to but worth a try
 

Trying to find an area of Abbott's creek in western NC that used to be u shaped but now isn't.
