Where to get free print out Topo maps

Check out USGS...national map.com

They charge for them.
There has to be a place where you can print them out.

Try your local university library. I use USC here in Columbia. They r nice

The University of Colorado has an extensive topo collection available on line through the College Library. There usually are multiple years of data and sometimes different versions (1:24000; 1:64000, etc). They are downloadable and can be zoomed in on very easily. If you have a laptop or similar to use just download the ones you need and then you can take them with you.

My boy goes to DU.
I will look into this.

i had emailed the USGS approximately 3 years ago, and they scanned copies of the maps that I was looking for with the option to buy actual full-size maps if I wanted them. The maps were not in the time frame that I was looking for, but they were very detailed and could have been used, and were free.
