White's Classic ID

I Needed other MD to back up my Beach Hunter ID 300( This MD is a MONSTER) I just bought a White's Classic ID over the Ace 250 and the New CoinMaster.. I was just wondering did I make a good choice and do you guys have any tips for using the White's Classic ID.

Thanks,

Re: White's Classic ID

I think that you did OK depending on what you paid for it. I bought a Whites IDXPro and what it does for me is give me a back up detector and a spare for the wife and friends that want to try it. It's not the best detector but if feeds the need when the dfx is down. Have fun, good luck and happy hunting.

Re: White's Classic ID

I run a classic S.L. I have had it for a bout ten years and have had tesoro and minelab as well. Both awsome detectors as well. I was having some frustration with mine due to the fact that it just didn't peform like the newer more exspensive detectors that I had used in the past.To put it in a nutshell I was used to digging coins at 10 to sometimes 18 inches.Well I was messing around with it .Heres what you do.If your I.D is like my classic it should work.Put your machine in all metal mode. Now when you scan a coin it should still I.D on your screen.Run in that mode nice and slow and be sure to listen very careful because you will catch what I call whisper tones. These are your deep targets.Try to look for targets that are stable but watch your meter and go slow and careful. The cool thing is when your in all metal mode your machine is now as fast to respond as the newest machines out there. It does take some getting used to but it is very effective.I hope this helps. You wont miss near as many targets and I garantee your finds will go way up. :read2:
