I have a question is a Coinmaster 6000 di Series 2 setup really the same as the 4000 D Series 3, they look the same wonder if they perform the same except the meter is on the box instead of the handle?

Back in the Dark Ages (1983) I had a Whites 500D SII, and it was one deep hunting
machine. Deal with it was the faster you could move that coil, the deeper it would hunt.
Had an extended shaft and a hip mount..found many great targets with that machine,
but it would wear me out today simply because of the needed coil speed.

Not to far off from my 1st step up purchase from my Radio Shack Micronta 1983 as my 1st, I think I was 14 when I purchased the Coinmaster 4000 D Series 3 such a long time ago would have been in 1985 was around the time I think. That Micronta only got me less then 2", My Whites 4000 D Series 3 got me 4-6" tops if that, I can't recall my separation on this unit.

Regards

The 6000 di Series 3 was last of analog improvements and as good as later computerized models. The two you mentioned were slightly older, and no doubt not as good. I believe the Di was better than D, but Series 3 was better than Series 2. Hard to say which of those two are better, but I'd guess the 6000 would have the edge.
