I have been using this machine for over 20 years. I know it made for gold but, I moved back east and there is not much placer gold in my area. I have been using it for relics and it will pick up a dime deep! But, the draw backs manual ground balance and next to no discrimination. But if your in a wooded area with out much trash it works great and the small coil helps in the brush. I see only a few on ebay and they fetch good money for being so old. I was wondering if anyone else likes this detector. I just bough a MX sport but, its not here till Monday. I didn't do a lot of research. I just stuck with the Whites and the price was at the of my budget. I would have got the mine lab 30/30 but only cause I saw it on Oak Island..LOL.. I got into whites from my Uncle and George Massey.. AKA Buzzard and the GPA

Well, it came in on Friday. YES!!. I put it together last night and tried it out for a hour. To all those commenting on it weight. It is kinda heavy but manageable. The display is great, I can see it without reading glasses. I have to get accustom to the tones. The gold master has high pitch and grunts. You detect by ear. This is all together different.

Hey,

If your V-Sat is beat up from use, I have a brand new control box housing I got from White's. All the control markings are silk screened on it already. Let me know.

Mike
