I have found a Whites MXT being sold for $100 in perfect condition, is that a good deal? I know it sells for$720 but I have a Garrett At Gold that I have used since last October and I love it! My dad used a Whites and loved it...I just want to know if I will get any benefit from adding it to my AT gold that I don't already have with the gold. Thank you for any help!

That is a no-brainer. Buy it.

Jump on it. Even if it's broke.

Uh...hell yeah buy it! Don't like? Sell it and buy other stuff, at least that's what I'd do ( but I like the Mxt).

Lol thank you all for the good advice...ill get it! I just wasn't sure if it would add anything since I have the AT Gold. I guess I'll buy the MXT for a backup and get rid of my ACE 350

Outstanding, great decision!

I have an MXT All Pro and it ain't all its written up to be. It has a real problem identifying targets below 6", and sounds like a drunken goose. It will not detect a dime at 7", a quarter at 9" and a half dollar at 10". The only thing I've found deeper than 10" is pop cans, scrap metal, etc. I was told by Whites that the MXT would identify and detect coins to 12".......wrong! The biggest thing wrong with the MXT is it ability to properly identify targets. I know my detectors too, I've been detecting since 1971. I wouldn't buy it other than to resell it for a profit. I'm considering the Minelab E-trac now......goldpaninut

Its worth $300 or more.
Works well and can indentify coin denominations in the ground before you dig.

100$? There must something wrong....
