I recently aquired a Whites ULA3 W/Auto Grd. Bal.
It is also advertised as a ULA-3/Sierra Madre, a "maxed out"
Pro-Xl to it,s highest sensitivity, locked into the "All Metal" mode
and stabalized with slow S.A.T. 2 control knobs/2 toggle control.
81-Threshold/auto grd. bal./sensitivity level (low or high mineralization.
Coils 91/2-15"/25"- 0-1=/5ft/9ft.
Q. Is it possible to modify this detector to the gen function such as:
Some form of Ferrious/Non Ferrious indicator/ meter chg. to an analog
6000-series/Xl-Pro/Pro-Xl? It indicates the 91/2 coil is good for searching walls. (makes sense) Ken White says it,s for the serious treasure hunter,
especially large deep treasures.Jimmy Serria says the Serria Madre Automatic was a long time comming. I can see it,s industral use! Possibly
treasure hunting to, on an island that never had a pull-tab discarded on it.
I will confess my ignorance of use/except in some particular set of circumstances and not for regular outing use.
Can it be modified or am I blind to it,s possibilities? Thanks for any help or input you wish to share.
