Who owns this property?

Probably a very basic question, but I am looking to get contact info on a property and would like feedback on preferred methods. I found several sites on the web with small fees associated, but thought that I would ask around before subscribing. The old house is vacant and falling apart, or I would just knock on the door. Property tax records are public so the Assessors page would be a good bet, they may even have address and phone numbers of whoever is paying the property tax.

If you can't find what you want there you can also try this site but I don't know if they cover your area. It's pretty cool, you can set the preferences to label every parcel with the name of the owner.

SOMEBODY owns the place, which means you can get at least an address where the tax bill goes to (owner). You may not get a reply but what the hey, you tried! TTC

The link worked great and I was able to locate an address to request permission. The property is in a Trust and has been vacant for close to 20-yrs, so I hope they give me the thumbs up Thanks for all your help!
