While there are several reasons being a Charter Member of TreasureNet is fantastic, the one that has made me real dollars is my ability to sell in the classifieds. Buying and selling machines, coils, pinpointers, digging tools, and even a Long John Silver Toby Mug, I've made - and saved - a lot of money and made new friends while doing it.

The Political forum can be fun, serious, outlandish, poignant, and sometimes just "out there," but input is always welcome. I suppose I love the Monthly Giveaways, but I like being part of, and helping to support, the TreasureNet family.

Become a Charter Member, it's just good karma. :icon_thumright:

I've never bought or sold anything, but I agree, good karma.

Excellent post Terry,
I forgot that I sold a brand new 17 inch CTX coil for $250. It sells at retail for $500. plus.
The sale brought my CTX purchase price down to $1,500. So I guess it was a win, win, for everyone.
There are lots of other bennies too. Like being able to educate people in the political arena,, lol

I guess the reality is that we support our friends here.

Would we still have a forum like this if no one supported it?

I love being able to voice my opinion on the political discussion, alot of good freedom loveing americans there.

I like the free food and drinks they give away at the monthly meeting and having a key to the private bathroom....And of course the comradery and friends.....

I STILL mess up the secret handshake. Probably shouldn't smoke in the car on the way to the meeting.

Man those Nachos are the best, and last month with the bacon give away.

I never knew you could wrap bacon in bacon. And don't forget the bacon wrapped Pomme Frites. It was awesome! :occasion14:

And the double secret Charter membership gets the 30 year single malt scotch!

They say you could wrap dog doodoo in bacon and people would rave about it......<grin>

Yeah, it is good. The secret is to get the hickory smoked bacon.

Tnet, my home away from home. Many great people in this community. I never miss the bacon nor Nacho nights.

All due respect, but the political forum is The Last place I would want to go at TN. Enough of that crap that I have to listen to as it is.

But I admit that nachos is enticing....

Bacon? Forget treasure hunting.

I'm sold.

I just don't want to deal with Paypal...but bacon is soooo enticing.

Is there an open bar with real aged pirate rum salvaged from the sea, too?

Okay, Bacon, Nachos and Aged Pirate Rum, It's Friday afternoon, who's turn to drive? I'm busy eating nachos! But it is great to have this place to come and see what people are finding or something new going on in the MD world. Terry, you still have to teach us the secret handshake once you get it down!:icon_thumright:

I just wanted to become more involved in what goes on around here. Sorry if I pass on the secret hand shakes and "magical" underwear but, supporting the sight and making new friends is cool.

I became a charter member for many reasons:

1. Honestly I wanted to offer support as my number one reason
2. Ability to list items for sale
3. Monthly drawings (I never win anything but have won this drawing 2 times out of the last three months)
4. Thursday night open bar
5. Free pizza Fridays with bacon are great too

I enjoy the politics section as well. I do wish that I wasn't the only liberal progressive person that uses the politics section. I could use a little back up sometimes. :usflag:
