Why do they do it???

I can't explain why I found one hundred and twenty five - yep - 125! pennies in a small playground today. I always say that when I'm out detecting I'm actually exercising and getting paid for it. Today, I did a whole lot of bending at the waist! The strangely shaped oval object is a "I survived Busch Gardens" token. What a very strange day.

To heck with the "Penny saved is a penny earned" baloney ... all that means is "A penny saved means you are still essentially broke" !!

"A penny DUG is a penny earned" is way more accurate !!

The token might have been a newer zinc penny. When pressed, the zinc will often show through. WTG!! On the finds!! HH

Seeing your pennies reminded me of last year when I found over 100 pennies in a small area in my back yard. The average date range told me that my son had buried them years earlier. I confronted him and he confessed to raiding my penny jug. I thought it was taking a long time to fill that darn jug! It sure gave me a lot of MD practice.

there is a grade school right down the block from me here, I have driven by at recess time and I swear I have seen kids throwing money at each other......chuckle!!!!
